First School Trip

P6 were very excited to have the first school trip of the year! They walked round to the train station, boarded the train and got off to see Windsor stadium, the home of Linfield Football Club. The children had a great tour and got to meet David Healy. To top the afternoon off they came home with a free ticket each for the next match.

Lots of exciting learning taking place

All the classes are now well settled into their routines and working hard in Literacy and Numeracy and the World Around Us / Topic work. Some of the topics this term are 'Ourselves', 'Minibeasts' and 'Volcanoes'.

PTA

This afternoon we held our PTA AGM. Mrs Hackett thanked the PTA members from last year for all their hard work in creating fun events and raising funds for school. The school benefitted from receiving money to increase the number of PC's we have in the computer suite and there is already money in the bank to help us buy new playground equipment.

There was a special Thank you to Victoria Colby who has run the PTA for many years.

We now have a new committee elected, Jill O'Halloran and Tori Minnick are joint chairperson, Joanne Wilson is the secretary and Elise Smyth is the treasurer. We look forward to the upcoming exciting events.
