This week was the Lisburn Small Schools Football Cup. Our football team played absolutely fantastically. They won 2 matches and drew 1 match which gave them enough points to make the final. They played a tough match but managed to score a goal winning 1-0 and taking the trophy!
Visit to Windsor Park
It is the term for school trips and P6 kicked it off with a trip to Windsor Park to get a tour of the ground of Linfield Football Club. The P6's got the train and thoroughly enjoyed being at the ground, learning some of the history and seeing the trophies.
Sport Changes Life
P7 have begun the Honour Roll Programme provided by Sport Changes Life and funded by Apex Housing. It is a multi-sport programme with inspirational workshop discussions to raise the asporations of children as they prepare to transfer to post-primary. It began with some basketball skills.
Afterschools Clubs and Activities
We are very lucky to be able to provide the children with extra-curricular activities after school. Ck Coaching and Galaxy provide us with the paid clubs but the teaching staff have held a range of clubs throughout the year. Choir has run all year and then In term 1 we had a drama club, in term 2 we had an art club and this term 3 we have a gardening club. Making bird feeders was their first task this week.
